While we want our covers to stand out, we take the opposite approach to the interior formatting of books. Good typesetting should get out of the way. Nothing to distract, flag itself, or take the reader out of the experience of reading the book. We prefer clean, functional, legible, professional. Self-publishers can do anything—and often do, to the detriment of their credibility. We prefer a conservative, conventional approach—everything the way a traditional publisher does it, so readers can't tell the difference.
